The birds were flying over a wide area around the town centre. I couldn't determine which building(s) they entered. Most of the buildings were constructed from the 16th to the 19th century.
The Street Name/OS grid ref box does not allow a grid reference to be entered. A message box says "Please enter only letter characters in the Street field" but OS grid refs contain letters and numbers. For this reason, I've entered a real but arbitary street name of GreenStreet. The box does not allow a space between "Green" and "Street"). The OS grid ref I wanted to enter is SJ 75910 60940. |

The birds were not associating with any specific building. They were circling and calling above the center of the village.
The village center was mostly constructed in the two decades after the arrival of the railway say 1860 to 1880. |

three visits made to this area and no swifts were seen. This was a good site and on the last survey there was a count of around 50 birds BUT a lot of the houses have been 'improved' making them now unsuitable for nesting swifts. Note that the nearby colony at West Street SBI has doubled in size, all others have reduced numbers. |
